This is an introductory course for tots interested in ballet. The class will simplify all movements to prepare your child to participate in Ballet I.

Children will learn the basics of formal ballet. Posture, positions, and style will be introduced and strengthened. Ballet is a fun way to teach your child the importance of daily physical activities. Children will be introduced to music rhythm and working basic technique. Parents are invited to observe the last class.
9, 45-minute classes.

For teens and adults who have always wanted to take ballet, but never had the chance and students who want to improve technique. Ballet is great training for gymnasts, color guard, preparing for the school musical, and more. Performance opportunities may be available but are not mandatory for registrants. Ballet slippers required.
9, 60-minute classes.

Suave and debonair, come learn the basic timing, patterns and styling of Foxtrot. Come out and strut your stuff! No partners required.
8, 50-minute classes.

This class is great for students looking to further their dance repertoire or to try something new and fun.

(Ages 16 & up) Dance the night away and learn a few new moves at our monthly dance social. This is an excellent opportunity for beginners to see all of our dances and take your first steps to learning them. For current students, the socials are a perfect opportunity to practice the skills you have learned or check out some new steps you might be interested in learning. The first hour will focus on a dance lesson, and then you get to hit the dance floor. Refreshments will be provided. No partner needed!

Expect to do some mixers, perhaps a few historical/novelty dances as well. No need for a partner. This is a great class to take with a mixed group of friends!

(Ages 18 & up) Swing brings something different to mind for everyone. From early Big Band music to 70’s beach music to 90’s swing revival music, come and learn the advanced East Coast Swing steps and turns that will have you dancing no matter what your music preference.

A great way to stay limber and to strengthen muscles and posture. Designed for the intermediate level, but all are welcome.
No class 10/31. 10, 60-minute classes.

This class includes a warm-up, improvisation, and choreography designed specially to combine ballet with musical theatre, lyrical, and hip hop/jazz. The instructor will choose a theme and assign parts for a performance that will be held at Ida Lee Park Recreation Center. Registrants are responsible for, and encouraged to design, their own costumes.

Put a little scoot in your boot and swagger in your step. Join us for our beginners line dancing class featuring many styles of dance including country, club, and classic. This class is suitable for anyone!

For students who want to perform in an abridged family-friendly performance at Ida Lee. Children and adults are welcome! This will be a repertory class. A short warmup will be included. Students will learn all dances specific for a performance.
